Royal Aberdeen Golf Club - East Scotland, Aberdeenshire
The 6th oldest golf club in the world, Royal Aberdeen has deservedly earned it's reputation for being one of the sternest challenges of championship golf in Scotland. Nestled on the North Sea the outward nine especially is arguably amongst the finest links golf anywhere in the world and cuts a path through the magnificent dune systems, lined with gorse on either side of the fairways and presenting the most formidable of challenges. This is a wonderful links and at On Course Golf, St. Andrews .....we love taking you there.
The most dramatic dune system on the East Coast of Scotland bordering the North Sea is also home to Cruden Bay Golf Club. A classic old links, Cruden Bay encapsulates what many believe has been lost in many modern golf course designs......FUN! From a green hidden discreetly amongst the rolling dunes, to a tee perched high atop another exposed dune, a drive required across a secondary dune system to the valley floor beyond, but don't forget to ring the bell along the way to let those behind know you are clear. Quite simply Cruden Bay has it all....a wonderful fun links and a good test especially when the wind blows.
