Royal Dornoch - North Scotland, Sutherland

The birthplace of Donald Ross, the sleepy Cathedral town of Dornoch is host to one of Scotlands classic links courses which constantly rates as one of the best links courses in the world. When Tom Watson refers to it as a "natural masterpiece" we know this is a serious links golf course. Set in a bowl running north south along the Dornoch Firth and the North Sea, Royal Dornoch is laid out on two levels with a run of holes along a gorse covered ridge line connecting one level to the other. The course offers great variety,.... challenging shot making, large elevated greens, and complex shoots, tucks and borrows consistent with it's seaside location and pure links character. Royal Dornoch may be one of the few places in the world where it's natural scenic beauty is matched by variety, challenge and fun all rolled into a single memorable package. We'll take you there.
