Royal Troon - West Scotland, Ayrshire

More recently hosted the 1989 and 1997 British Opens, and famous for it's 126 yard 8th hole, "The Postage Stamp". Witnessed by a huge crowd of spectators during the 1973 Open, Gene Sarazen had an ace at the Postage Stamp, following it with a birdie the next day. Later he presented the 5 iron used from the tee on both days to the R&A. Overall, Royal Troon is a formidable links, and extremely demanding with a back nine the equal of any of the most ferocious in golf.

Troon - Portland Course (6,289 yards, par 71)

Whilst significantly easier than the Royal Troon Championship Course, The Portland remains a good test of golf boasting excellent presentation and challenging par 3's. Included as an optional part of your day package at Troon the Portland completes the perfect day

Western Gailes - West Scotland - Ayrshire

With no attributable course designer, Western Gailes is one of our very favourite links courses and features in all of our touring programs. Until recent years Western Gailes would often have been referred to as one of Scotland's lesser known courses, but today it can be said quite categorically, that the SECRET is out. This course in North Ayrshire is host to the British Seniors and a qualifying course for the Open Championship when played at Royal Troon. A beautifully presented linksland, Western Gailes is renowned for it's quality of presentation, superb situation, and a rampant share of classic golf holes, which combine with a welcoming clubhouse to make this a truly memorable visit.

Old Prestwick - West Scotland - Ayrshire

A wonderful traditional seaside links course bounded by the Irish sea on one side, and a railway line on the other, Prestwick is one of Scotland's most prestigious courses. Founded in 1851, Prestwick hosted the first 12 Open Championships commencing in 1860, and features the vast Cardinal Bunker on the 3rd fairway, and a number of blind tee and approach shots. We love Prestwick at On Course Golf, St. Andrews and we know you will too.....Enjoy!

Southern Gailes - West Scotland - Ayrshire - (6765 yards, par 72)

A new course located by Western Gailes, Southern Gailes was designed by Kyle Phillips (designer of Kingsbarns). Southern Gailes complements the West Ayrshire coast courses and is a worthwhile inclusion in your holiday package.
